Default What happened to the 350,000 Gun owners who did not register their AR in Conneticut?

Guys I am just wondering did the citizens who failed to register in Conneticut finally do so? Last I heard half the owners were cops and the police wouldn't enforce it. I hope the NRA totally fights it because what the politicions were talking about was confiscation. I wonder if they did, what the implications would be.

I haven't been to Connecticut since 1999 so can't say but knowing politicians
like I do, I would say that they passed these stupid laws in the self-interest of appearing to DO something. Just to get re-elected. Then they realized they stepped in it pretty deep so are letting the stuff sit, hoping it will go away.

With prisons filled to the brim with real criminals and law enforcement stretched to the limit they just do not have the resources to enforce it.

As I for one have long predicted ridiculous gun laws NOT supported by the majority of our citizenry would be ignored just as prohibition was ignored until it was finally repealed.
The really bad thing about bad laws IMO is they have turned us all into scofflaws with little to no respect for any laws and lawmakers.
I suspect a lot of those black guns are just out of sight as they were in Canada when the had their useless "registration" system.

I doubt that the people that didn't register are going to answer any polls.

Yep. Too bad for the liberal gun grabbers... there just isn't enough prison space. So the anti-constitutional law just gets ignored.

Since they passed those laws in CT I haven't back. I thought Massachusetts was bad! Maybe with that many not registering their AR's, they'll just build a fence around the state.

Default Wait A Second...

In the upside down world we live in, the powers that be would indeed grant early release to genuine thugs, muggers, rapists and killers in order to make room for people guilty of the heinous crime of not registering their guns.

Class d felony. A felony conviction prohibits a person from posessing any fiream. Heavy stuff for keeping an AR hidden under the bed.

They won't come house to house searching, but more likely as part of an investigation. Earlier this year, some guy in CT shot a squirrel in his back yard. Cops came to investigate and found unregistered AW and mags. Wasn't being used to shoot the squirrel. Anyone know what the outcome was?

Just wait. Today it's passing these laws to look hard on crime. Tomorrow it will be enforcing these laws.

Just because the law is passeddoes not mean they have to enforce it. They can enforce it it anytime they want. Maybe the right time has not yet come.
