Only it's not an ERPO bill, but a virtually unfettered extension of the existing Restraining Order bill. With the added "bonus" of suggesting that after the one year order expires, the local police chief consider if the person is "suitable" to have a License To Carry Firearms.
The bill went into the House Ways and Means Committee as an ERPO bill as other states have been debating. It came out totally redrafted with a different Bill Number.
They met throughout the weekend to work on the Bill. Which tells you that they want to pull a sneaky and get it done before the holiday weekend.
It's being bums rushed to the House floor for debate and a vote today. After which it will go to the Senate for their action.
