All of the LE trade-ins I've come across seem to be in pretty good shape. One of the shops that I do alot of business with tries very hard to get them and sells them all. They are bargin for someone looking for a good handgun, but not wanting to pay top $$$.

I started collecting S&W revolvers with LE trade-ins. So far a 10-6, 15-2, and a 19-4. All are worn, but all lock up well (the 15-2 is a little loose) and shoot very well (even the 15-2). The 10-6 is the best shooting DA revolver I own.

I also have a mdl 60 (no dash) that might have been a LE trade-in, but it doesn't have any department markings.
