Well, I found a pre-war OM at the Richmond show early Saturday morning. I really wanted a .22 to go along with my 1937 Outsdoorsman, but got this .38 Officers Model Target instead. The serial number puts it at 1937, same year as the Outsdoorsman.

Oh, one more thing... it came with its own set of Ropers!

If one studies these Ropers, he or she will see a strong similarity to the Pachmayr Presentation grip that fits so many hands well.

I'm not saying that Pachmayr copied a set of Roper grips, but the two men do seem to have had very similar ideas about comfortable, effective revolver grips.
