All this talk about Roper grips, gave me the urge to go looking for a pre-war Colt Officer's Model for the OM Ropers I have. I sold the Trooper they came with about a year ago.
Well, I found a pre-war OM at the Richmond show early Saturday morning. I really wanted a .22 to go along with my 1937 Outsdoorsman, but got this .38 Officers Model Target instead. The serial number puts it at 1937, same year as the Outsdoorsman.
Oh, one more thing... it came with its own set of Ropers!
