I got back my Winchester Model 12 that I picked up a while back that had an awful polychoke on the barrel and had been sitting on a rack at the local gun store for months. So I had my local gunsmith cut the barrel at 20 inches and add a bead. I took it to the range today with some Remington 2 3/4 OO buck. The target here was shot from 12 yards away. The whole in the top was from the wad skidding sideways through the target. The recoil from this gun with just a regular buttplate is actually better than from my Remington 870 tactical that had a thick pad on it. It was very pleasant to shoot and it cycled beautifully. All 5 shots were in rapid succession.
