The 28 was for years an inexpensive weapon because of the finish. However in recent years I have seen the prices starting to climb on good ones. They are one of the best shooters you can get your hands on IMHO. The large N frame helps to tame the magnum load and the amount of metal they have helps to offer long life even shooting the heavy loads. Still one of my favorite shooters after all these years is one of my 28 4 inchers.
