If a fanny pack works for you, go to town.
I don't personally use one. Now; that doesn't mean I won't ever use one in the future.

There are so many carry systems that one need not be strapped (pun intended) to just one.

Try different ones and see what works.

I do have several friends who wear fanny packs and they're definitely not "light in the loafers", they dress in up-to-date fashion and don't give a rats behind if anyone thinks there is a gun in there.

So... use it if it works for you.
