Chrome over brass construction. The Birmingham City Police existed from 1839 to 1974 when it was amalgamated with other local forces to become known as the West Midlands Police. This whistle is from the 1950s and is stamped The Metropolitan Patent - Birmingham City Police - J Hudson & Co - 244 Barr Street - Birmingham.

SOLD Thanks! Rare UK Essex Police truncheon. This is a nice, old pre-1950 issue, heavy police truncheon from a bygone era. In great condition, just over 12" in length. Complete with leather strap still intact. No telling how many heads were cracked with it over the years.
