Here's a rare find. S&W factory wooden presentation case for a Model 27 with a 3.5 inch barrel. This case is in remarkable condition . Please note- the 4 inch barrelled guns will not fit in the inner recess, I tried. The hinges and closing latch are perfect. The outer box shows a few light scratches, but no chips, cracks or deep gouges in the wood. The two piece inner recessed liner is free of cracks and unsightly wear which is so typical of cases of this vintage. The blue velvet frocking could use a good clean up, that is all. Complete with all tools - aluminum handled screwdriver, cleaning rod, bore brush and mop. Paperwork includes the folded S&W Model 27 instruction sheet, the unused mail-in warranty card and a list of S&W warranty service centers. Listed for $135.00 USD plus delivery. Note-- a kind S&W forum friend, who is way more knowledgable about presentation cases than me, reports that this is a newer case, most likely 1970s vintage. He also told me the mop was not original, this I knew as I have the original. It is well used and dirty but will be included along with the replacement.
