These factory (NOT knock-off) checkered square-butt target stocks have full-coverage figure and near perfect grain bookending. They are unused new gun take-offs and would be ideal for a collectible S&W revolver.

I had an inquiry overnight asking if these stocks are as reddish as they appear. I apologize for using that background, as I can see that it lends that tint to the wood. As I told that person, I'm not even a good amateur photographer.
In actuality, these stocks are "milk chocolate brown" with "semi-sweet chocolate" figure. I'm going to take a photo or two of them against a more neutral background or perhaps on a gun and add them to this post (so as not to bump my thread more than once a day) when I return home later this afternoon.
Ed, to help show the natural color of the wood, your artificial light source is the enemy...not the background. I would suggest photographing them outside using indirect natural light. That should produce the most natural photo in my experience.

I'll take them. PM inbound. Should go nicely on my 686 no dash.
