Good question. There have been hundreds of Glock sights changed with the standard pins. That said, I have just today received some brass rod with a 25,000# tensile strength for the purpose of making angled Glock pins. I believe it may be a solution to a non-existent problem, but I am going to make them available to those who feel they are necessary.

Guns with ambidextrous safeties would benefit from the Mk lV model, but a Mk lll could be used if you're willing to remove the safety levers. It's not too hard to do, especially after you've done it a few times.

There was a question asked here regarding 5" M&P slides. If you have a question, please PM me per forum rules. I get one post per day, so I'll go ahead and answer the question. I think the Mk V will work on the 5" slide. It was designed to work with slides with odd shaped features, as well as traditionally shaped slides. I don't have a 5" M&P to test, so I can't answer definitively. I have a post in the M&P section offering a sight change for anyone willing to send me their slide and new sights. I will update that post as well. Cost was questioned also. The Mk V costs $125 plus shipping. The M&P pin set adds $12. About the same cost as the MGW tool, but much, much more versatile.

Ok. after fighting this illness for a month, I finally ended up in the hospital. Blood clots in both legs, and even worse, in both lungs. This is what's been kicking my butt. While the clots are still theoretically dangerous, my situation is under control. I'm not in immediate danger or anything, but will have to be pretty quiet for a couple of weeks.
I know there are several dozen folks patiently waiting on tools and plugs. All is not lost. My friend and cohort, Jeff Kelly who is a master machinist is going to help right the ship. There are approximately 25-30 tools that are near completion as I write this. Jeff is going to make 10 more Mk lll's this week. The hold up will come in getting all the accessories and small parts done. If I can't do it, I'll show Jeff what needs to be done. I have a pretty good inventory of plugs. May not have everything in the right color. We will ship what we e got in stock, and get the rest made. NO ONE will get burned! Period. I don't do business that way. The few of you have contacted me have been most patient and it is greatly appreciated. I will provide additional updates as appropriate. I thank you for your support over the years and your business.
Regards
Ed Jennings

Shipping info: Folks, I've been out of commission for about a month now with a very nasty respiratory infection. Even spent a few days in the hospital. During this time, I have been able to do almost nothing with sight pushers. Each day I've thought that I'd be better in a day or two, but just hasn't happened. I went back to the pulmonary specialist last Wednesday. He changed my antibiotic, and finally I seem to be getting some relief. I will cautiously say that I can probably work for a while by Monday. I know I have communicated with some of you by email or by phone, and your patience has indeed been appreciated. I currently have enough MkV frames in stock to complete the very oldest orders early next week. The powder coat shop I've been using has another whole batch, but the guy seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth. Not only do I have a significant monetary investment in these parts, but more importantly is the time it will take to replace them. The professional machinist buddy who helps me by making parts when I get behind is working six+ days/week right now at his day job. He's going to try to get a set done this weekend, but that may be asking too much. Maybe the powder coating guy will reappear next week.
Anyway, I haven't forgotten you or overlooked you. I will get these tools shipped out as soon as I possibly can. Please don't hesitate to check on your order if you see the need to do so. Again, thanks to all for your patience.

As of noon Friday all orders have been shipped. Still got a handful of Mk V frames on hand. Beginning as of now, Mk lll tools will also have their frames powder coated for corrosion protection as well as aesthetics. There will be a small increase in cost to cover my costs associated with getting the pieces powder coated. I’ll get some pictures up this weekend.

Well, that’s what I thought before I ended up in the hospital with an infection from an insect bite. Two surgeries and a ton of antibiotics later, I’m going back to the Dr this afternoon and maybe back to work on a limited basis tomorrow.

First run of Mk V’s on the CNC mill. We’ll soon be able to produce large quantities of these tools very quickly. 8E1C036A-4326-40A9-9AE4-2368C5354313.jpg

Got some Mk V in stock. Working on Mk lll frames should have some available next week. Still got a fair supply of the Glock adapters. They work with any of the models, but the Mk lll would be the go to if ordering from scratch.

Pushers of all models back from powder coating tomorrow. I have a larger than normal supply of plugs of all colors and sizes. The piece of equipment we used to make these plugs is gone, so once these are gone it may be a while before I have the ability to produce more. We had been making these on a very large mill, but looking for a small high precision lathe to replace it.

A customer over on 1911 forum posted this. He had to delete the post due to their rules prohibiting feedback.
***************
Just wanted to give some feedback on a MK V I recently purchased from Ed.
I’ve used it to remove / adjust a few sights now including a front sight on a 1911 and this tool works great. Takes a minute to get everything lined up and then it will push out even the tightest sights, as I discovered when I forgot to remove a steel locator roll pin on a front sight... no damage to anything except a cleanly sheared roll pin :dope:
It’s built like a tank and Ed is great to work with. If you’re on the fence for a sight pusher I highly recommend the MK V.

I am set up to make plugs again. Making them as they are ordered, so give it a day or two to ship. Got mkV frames at the powder coating shop and picking up materials finally for Mk lll’s today. The supply chain has been iffy at best, but it seems to be getting better.

All current orders for pushers and plugs have been shipped. Still have a bit of inventory so I can ship most items immediately.
Please note that the promotion that included the round to square adapter set at no charge has ended. You need to add to your order if you want these. I’ll be offering a different promotion sometime in the fairly near future.

Have several flavors of plugs in stock, and getting faster at making them. I appreciate all the orders that have come in recently. Be safe.

Currently got lots of Mk V frames. Got a Couple of Mk lll frames that are not powder coated, but otherwise ready to go. Also have most flavors of lock plug in stock. Made a Change in my production method that makes plugs quicker and more accurate in dimensions. Bottom line is that if I don’t have what you want in stock I can make it pretty quickly.
Have a safe Memorial Day and never forget what the day is about. Hint: it’s not about picnics and BBQ.
