I purchased a Model 29-4 #BEDxxxx with an 8 3/8" full under lug barrel. I purchased a shorter barrel and had a reputable gunsmith (Nelson Ford) swap them out. This gun appeared hardly shot as there was no flame cut on the top strap.

The bore is very clean and while the barrel does have very some minor handling marks it does have a scratch on the bottom (see image) that was not disclosed when I purchased the gun. The owner claimed he did not know it was there. It is only a cosmetic booboo and does nothing to the function.

This barrel does not have the ejector pin plunger assembly (swapped onto my barrel).

It does have a pinned red ramp front sight.

I would like to trade it for a 4" 629 non tapered barrel of equal condition from a 629-4 or later. I have a 629-3 with an 8 3/8" barrel and my style of shooting does not require that long of a barrel. Would prefer a pinned front sight which will be a later revision. Prefer a unmodified factory barrel. NO lighter, tapered Mountain barrels.

as above, they were only used with cadets that had extreme marksmanship issues. These can only be used on Gen 3 or prior models. THEY DO NOT WORK ON GEN 4. They were used one Gen 3 G19s and they were fun to shoot.

They do require a hard wrist grip in order for them to function properly. Weak grip/wrists will induce malfunctions. I personally would buy one…..but it will probably sit and then I will end up selling down the road….so i will just grit my teeth and look away.
