I have two Rare S&W Sterling Silver Belt Buckles. Both Buckles come in the Original Wooden Boxes with metal latch. They have never been touched by hands. They are both still in the plastic from the factory. The first is the 125 Year Buckle To mark the 125th anniversary of Horace Smith's and Daniel Wesson's association, Smith & Wesson has had this commemorative buckle struck in Pure Sterling Silver. Beautifully detailed busts of Horace Smith & Daniel Wesson flank the familiar Smith & Wesson seal on this unique belt buckle
The dramatic scene on the buckle is by famous frontier artist Dan Smith. The scene is one of the best known in a series of paintings commissioned by S&W at the turn of the after the turn of the 19Silver th century. The series included works by Dan Smith, Frederic Remington, and G.W. Peters, all known for their masterpieces depicting the American West.
In "The Last Cartridge" Smith portrays a rugged frontiersman in a life and death struggle with a wild bear. All the drama of the man's crisis is captured in the detailed sculpture on the face of this die-struck belt buckle.
I know that there are these same buckles can be found on the net. But what makes these so rare is the fact that they are both Serial# 0063 of 1000. All the ones I see on the net are Serial # in the 600 and up. These will be a great addition to any Collector's Collection. I am looking for $550.00 for the pair. And for some reason I am having trouble posting the photos of these buckles so if you are interested then email me and I will get them to you
