For sale are five boxes for Colt handguns. All are guaranteed to be genuine and not fakes. All are used boxes with some wear and tear as shown in the pics and described below. None of the boxes have any contents/papers/tools or anything else unless specifically stated. In other words, all boxes are empty. Sorry, but I do not have the guns that these boxes originally came with.
All prices stated INCLUDE Priority Mail USPS shipping. These are for sale to USA destinations only. Money Orders are preferred but Paypal is acceptable at no extra charge. Personal checks from members of the Smith & Wesson Collectors Association are acceptable as well.
A box is sold to the first person who posts “I will take box X” here. Until then it is not considered sold.
I prefer email rather than PMs. I read and respond to emails first. You can email me at
[email protected] and remove the NOSPAM reference. PMs may take a while to respond to so email is your best bet. I have a full time job so I may not be able to instantly reply to an email or message.
1. SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS. A kraft box for the Colt Model 1917 revolver. This is not a Colt factory box but rather may be a U.S. military box. It is identified in Charlie Pate’s US Handguns of WWII book at page 61 as seen in the scan below. This is a very scarce box. I have seen only one other example in many years of chasing Colts. Marked on one side is the number 72302 which may be a serial number. In excellent condition with no issues. Price is $95 shipped.
2. A red box for the Colt Junior .22LR pistol. The end label is partially gone but it appears to be for pistol serialed 023347. The top has some tape damage as shown in the photos. No tape damage or writing on the bottom. All corners are solid. A very scarce box. Price is $45 shipped.
3. SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS. A Colt factory woodgrain box for the .22LR Conversion Kit for Colt Government Model and Super .38 auto pistols. A solid box with strong corners. No writing on the bottom. It appears to have had some tape on the top at one time but the top is not torn, only a little darkened from where the tape once was. Price is $50 shipped.
4. SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS. A Colt factory woodgrain box for the Official Police .38 Special revolver with 5 inch barrel in blue. The top has had some clear tape applied to the corners at some point in the past but does not detract. A fair amount of wear and tear is evident on the edges but it is overall a solid box. There is a serial number on the bottom but it is unreadable to me. The bottom also has a small sticker with the name "Feeney" written on it. Interior is dark green. Price is $50 shipped.
5. SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS. A Colt factory woodgrain box for the Lawman Mark III .357 Magnum revolver. Written in pencil on the end label is serial J41932. All corners are solid. No writing on the bottom. No tape. There is one issue with a tear of one side of the box top. A photo below shows this tear well. It appears to me to be easily repairable with some patience, but I will leave that up to the new owner. Price is $80 shipped.
Thanks for looking. These will also be posted on the Colt Forum.
