Default Roy Fishpaw Dall Sheep Grips in Trade for Randall Knife

Roy Fishpaw Dall sheep horn N-frame grips in exchange for a Randall knife:

I purchased these grips on the forum about ten years ago for ~$450, I do not recall exactly and do not have my records with me. Roy Fishpaw, as you probably know, is one of the greatest custom grip makers ever. If he is still with us, and I hope very much that he is, he is in his late eighties.

If you do not know about Fishpaw, run a Google search, or search this forum.

A disciple of his, Rob Rowen, is carrying on the tradition of fine custom grips. Per his website, these grips, by Mr. Rowen, go for about $1000 today: ROWEN CUSTOM GRIPS, LLC - Horn This is a good site to review in that it explains well about this sort of custom grips.

These are by the master himself.

A caveat to bear in mind is that the grips are custom fit to a particular gun. They are a perfect fit to a particular gun. I mounted these, once, years ago, just to see the fit, on an M57, by myself, and they did not quite close on the frame. (By which I mean there was a tad too much material.) I think it likely that whoever winds up with these will need the fit tweaked by someone who knows what he is doing to ensure a perfect fit. (Perhaps Mr. Rowen would take on the job.) I want the new owner to know this in advance.

The fellow I bought them from explained to me, as I recall, that these Roper style grips were very unusual in that Mr. Fishpaw had not made many/any more of them in this material and style. I cannot personally vouch for this, but is what I was told.

As for what Randall knife model I am interested in, I am open to suggestions except for the #1, which I was recently able to acquire in excellent condition at a great price. If interested in a swap, please PM me with what you have.

Note: Will be out of country from 6 May until early July. Can make a deal before then, but cannot execute it until I get back.
