From the "golden years of Spyderco" this is a very limited production, extremely hard to find, and very collectible knife. This is the first collaboration between Spyderco and designer Peter Herbst, for their first made-in-Germany, Solingen steel knife in 440c stainless, and titanium handle. This is a first run, numbered (925) piece - not a second-production, not a defective seconds, and not the later aluminum version. It has hidden pins under the handle instead of typical and cheaper-to-produce screws. Light handling marks but it looks like it was never used much, if at all, and not re-sharpened because it really does look unused. Must have been jostled around in a drawer to get the light scratches or marks on it. Great feel, with real heft and a great blade shape. Comes just as you see it, in fact it's not clear if the original ones like this ever did come in a box. Later models did.
I've heard Europeans collect this one and will pay much more for this knife but I would rather sell it to a forum member if they're into collecting knives. Knives aren't my thing except to use them as a tool.
Price is $295 or nearest offer.
Blade is 3" and handle is 4"
(PS: I have a second one that I'm keeping because it's simply an awesome knife, so no need for this one).
