For its age, this is a really nice pre-27 gold box. Structural integrity of the corners are excellent. I think the pictures speak for themselves. One little spot where it looks like the hammer might have been wearing on the inside but it’s still fairly thick and not about to break through. The usual light fraying on the edges but once again pretty darn good for its age. Someone wrote on the lid of the box trying to determine the age of the stamp but they got it wrong because these boxes were not used in 1968. No evidence of the grease pencil on the bottom tying it to a particular serial number.
