Ammo for 625-10 2" .45ACP
I know this sounds like a stupid question. But, the only kind of ammo I have is 230gr.. Is this ok to shot out of my S&W 625-10 2" .45ACP?
Thanks

I have a 625-10 2" and have shot 230 gr ammo out of it.
230 gr is ok , but 185 gr a bit easier on the hand.
Although with the black rubber grips 230s shouldn't hurt too badly.
As far as the gun being "rated" for 230gr, yes it is. All commercially loaded 45acp is ok for the 625-10 as far as I know.
I'm spoiled because I have a fairly good stash of 200 gr PMC 45 auto rim ammo I shoot in mine. It's a dream to shoot with that load.

The 625 can shoot 230 grain FMJ all day long. It's an N frame so the frame is made for magnums.

i would use the 185 out of the 2 inch barrel, it will give you more fps, and as stated above lighter recoil

It's fine, but 185+P is better out of that short barrel.
