Hi Folks,
Here is a heads up on Ammunition to go
I recently bought a case of .22 ammo. When I checked out on line the shipping doubled and went from $24.XX to $48.XX. and the bill showed me that my package had become two packages.
Well, I needed the ammo and I don't mind paying if in the event it had to be shipped in two packages from different locations or whatever circumstanses caused the single case of .22 ammo to be broken up and shipped in two parcels.
It came here yesterday. It was shipped all in one parcel. I am unable to get any satisfaction from them.
UPS advises me that to ship the package of declared ammo back would cost me $19.47 from the weight and dimensions taken from the package as it arrived here.
$48.XX to ship a package that ships for $19.47.
If you think an order has high shipping from them due to multiple parcels shown on the bill when you check out, it may just be a diversion to (In my case) stick you for almost $30.00 in extra profit declared as shipping.
I have looked in the posting rules. I don't see where I am off base.
This is just a notice to those who may buy from Ammotogo to be alert to this confusing tactic.
These folks are out of Brenham TX
Thanks
Mike

That sucks. I understand how that would leave a bad taste in your mouth. I have ordered from ATG a lot, and never had that problem.

I have always thought that their shipping charges were some of the most reasonable around. I ordered from them just on Friday, late night after business hours, and order shipped out today. It was for several different calibers totaling about $150 for some 9mm, 38 special, 45 ACP, 380 ACP, 22LR..... Shipping charge was $12 and some change.

Midways shipping is certainly not as bad as some, but I have always thought ATG was better than them.

The only problem that I DID have with ATG was them leaving an item out of my order. They forgot to put in a 60 round battle pack of Swiss 7.5 GP11. I contacted them via email, and telephone. They got back to me the same day, and had the left out item shipped out the next day. All with no hassle or charge.

Sorry that you seem to have gotten screwed, I would try and contact them again and see if they would be willing to work something out for you. Good Luck.

It sounds to me like there was a glitch in the ordering program at the time you made the order. I've bought a lot of ammo from ATG with no problems and fast and excellent service. Bet they make it right for you.

I just used them for the first time recently, had no complaints. Bought 500 rounds of .32 Long WC for target use. Weight was about 6-7 lbs., shipping was less than $15. Sorry you had a problem with them, but as has been suggested it sounds like an ordering system glitch. If you stay on them I bet they will fix it.

Default Nope

Howdy,
Nope, they wont make it right. I have not talked to anyone but an office girl and my e-mails to John go unanswered.
I guess what bothers me is when you check to see how much shipping is it shows $24.00 then when you place the order it doubles and claims it is being sent in two parcels. Had it come in two parts I would not feel bad. Sometimes things have to be different. When it came as one, a single case of .22 ammo shipped for $48.XX....... well?
I thought I would post it so if folks order and see the "Two packages B.S." they will know what might be afoot.
They wont be getting anymore of my bussiness.
Thanks
Mike

That's too bad, and it's opposite of my experiences with them (many), which have all be very good.

I wouldn't give up -- perhaps another phone call calmly explaining what happened?

I would be very surprised if they didn't make it right.

I hate that you had anegative experience with ATG. I, like others have mentioned, have had nothing but excellant service from them.

I forwarded a link to this thread to ATG (the e-mail provided for a contact). I've ordered several times from them -- but a bad experience like this goes a long way to destroy trust that they have built up.

there are some shipping cheats on EBay you have to watch out for, but i've never seen a switch after the billing was finalized.

Default Thanks

Hi Folks,
I did get and miss a call today. I called back but the lady who I was to speak with was busy.
Out of curriosity I ran the order through again. It's on sale now. That's no one's fault. The shipping comes to $40.00 and change now and still shows as two packages if I place a new order today.
I am glad you all have had such good luck. I have the "Gift" sometime to find these things.
I turned it over to the BBB. Does the I.R.S. know he sticks about $30.00 undeclared profit on some orders? Maybe it is deliberate maybe not?
I am going to write the place off as a nut house and take my business somewhere else.
Thanks all and beware
Mike

Default Alls well that ends well?

Howdy,
I dont know? Is it?
I will say Ammunition to go has made things right with me.
I am not sure I understand their explanation and I am suspicious of it.
On the other hand there are lots of you who have dealt with them and had good service and no problems
I am frustrated with how things got to this point, how they were handled on the phone yesterday and the explanation given me today.
On the other hand, they have made things right, reimbursed me and given me the sale price to boot.
I was offered a store credit yesterday for $12.00. I offered to take it and smile if it would be a credit back to my card and was denied that.
Anyway, this has been two days of silliness over a small amount of money. An aggrivation I dont need and will steer clear of in the future.
I want to thank those here who helped and Ammunition to go for making things right,
Thanks
Mike

I'm glad they straightened things out with you. That keeps them in my plus column!

So little time . . . and so many guns to fire. Gotta have that ammunition!!

Glad to hear that they straightened things out for you.

I am happy to give them my business as IMHO, they have some of the best deals around. They also seem to have more ammo when other sources are run dry.

Got to love the Law Enforcement 50 packs at a 20 or 25 round box price.
