Has anyone had any experience with the "canned heat" new and/or reloads? Thinking of buying some WC and LSWCHP. Thanks!

I have shot about 4K of 38sp last year. I had a few hard primers or primers that were set a little deep. Otherwise, some of the best priced ammo that I have been able to find.

I have been shooting the a range of different loads depending on what was available at the time.

our agency has burned well God knows how many rounds of canned heat in the past 16 years. We have literally burned hundreds of thousands in 9, 38, 40, 45ACP and 5.56 in training. We have it delivered by the vanload. Buy with confidence. I have personally fired many many 38 LSWC and they go boom every time.
ETA: we use their NEW ammunition as duty ammo in 9, 40, 45, and 5.56

Wow, thank you. I'm going to be all over that stuff. How's the delivery time? Also, specifically, has anyone used the reloads they offer?

I have several hundred rounds of their reloaded .38-Spl 158-gr +P LSWC-HP ammo.

Over my chronograph their extreme spread was 14-fps and the standard deviation was an incredible 5-fps.

I carry their new 10mm 180-gr Gold Dot ammo in my EDC G29.

Buy 'em. You will be pleased.

we use reloaded exclusively for training, and their new Gold Dots for duty....
I can't speak to delivery times, they deliver to us in their van they use to make deliveries across the State. We buy it by the vanload anyway...
FWIW, Georgia's entire police academy system uses their ammo, and has for years, as well as the Federal training center in Brunswick.
Larry is the go to guy there....if he says he can do it, he will. If he tells you it will be a few weeks, believe him. He is like everyone else in the industry right now, components are hard to get for everyone. I suggest that if you find it in stock to buy it. If not, call them and talk to them.

plus the ammo cans come in handy...

I've been using their ammo for about 2 years now it's good stuff. As a matter of fact I bought some 40 cal from them today at the Orlando gun show. I noticed the " tag " on the bags stated it was " factory loaded " does that mean it's new or reload ? Just curious as I know it will go boom when I pull the trigger.

their "new" ammo is just that, all new brass.....their "factory loaded" ammo is reloaded.....but it is all done in a factory. I have taken several tours of the place, it is really a well done set up, quality control everywhere...

Also they are some of the nicest folks you'll ever meet at a gunshow.

I buy their 32 H&R Mag, 44 Special, 45 Auto Rim, 32 S&W Long(nice hollow point) never had a lick of trouble.

In '06 I purchased 100 rds. of their .357 158gr. plated SWC, no problems with it. Also purchased .45acp swc which worked great in Smith 625-8.
Just recently purchased a M&P .40c and have had difficult time finding hp rounds...no problem w/target rds. 180gr. Went to the GA website just this evening and got lucky on the 180 +p Speer NEW rds...think I got the last 100rds. for $47.50 + $10 shipping. My plans are to use this as a carry round for cc.
I haven't read anything about not using +p in the M&P. Anyone have any experience with this particular round?

Do the plated SWC leave a cleaner chamber like a FMJ would as opposed to LRN?

Just curious, not too familiar with plated SWC.

don't recall anything unusual as far as the cylinders....same as firing any jacketed round and the bore didn't show any lead, only the copper from the jacketing. Very clean to me. These were GA's reloads with all nickel plated casings.

I shot these in a Ruger Security Six with a 6" barrel and the recoil was very nice.

I burn a fair amount of Ga. Arms product. If the brass has mixed head stamping, it is reloaded. If has Starline head stamping, it is new. Stuff works great and reasonably priced. Has a high 'boom factor', too. Good shootin'
