I haven't used the standard pressure, but I do use the +P 158g LSWCHP, and I like it a lot, especially in a four-inch gun. I've been considering switching to the standard pressure load with the same bullet for my J-frames, it looks pretty close to the velocity of the +P from Remington, Federal, etc. The BB +P load thinks it's a magnum, and it's a handful.
In any case, I've found Buffalo Bore to be top-notch ammunition, and it seems to live up to the performance levels it claims.

There are test results for the 158 gr. SWCHP and the 150 gr. wadcutter at www.brassfetcher.com . Click on the "Old Website" link. There is also a Speer SB .38 +P test. I've tested Speer SB in the Perma-Gel Test Results thread in this forum.

I went from the Speer 135+P load to the BB standard 158gr load. Definitely more felt recoil in my 442 and not nearly as accurate. I went back to the Speer load. The Speer load is much more accurate in my 3" 66 too.

I have found the .38 special BB standard to be a bit harsh recoil-wise in my 638. In regards to my K-frame 64-2 and 66-2 snubbies, and my 65-5 3-inch, Federal 158SWCP+P loads are more accurate.
I will try the BB standard AND the +P loads in my 28-2, 4-inch on the next range trip. I hope this helps.

I use the 150 grain WC as my carry load and the 158 grain LSWCHP as my reload. (Speed Loader Load)
I practice with my handloads loaded to simulate both of those loads.

Buffalo Bore ammo
I tried it in a Colt Cobra and an older S&W mdl 36,for std pressure it is a very stout load.I had one FTF on the first go around,it went bang the second time, don't remember which revolver,I think it was the Cobra.
I still have some left and should try it out of my Mdl 10-5 2" and my 640-1.
I've got a good supply of Speer GD SB 135gr HP and that's what I carry now.
