Came across a new ammo maker that has some interesting offerings.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Looks neat. I'd be more apt to purchase from Jeff and Nancy if they'd put up velocity data (there's none to be found on the site right now) showing the guns used (like Buffalo Bore and Double Tap do) and maybe some photos showing the efficacy of their "flash-suppressed" powders. Heck, if they had that info on the site, I'd have purchased already.

Thank you for the commentary. Your feedback is very important to us.
Most of the calibers we have for sale list the velocity and the gun used. I will comb over the products list and add more info where I can.

By efficacy, do you mean a side by side photo comparision of our powder besides say, Power Pistol or some other powder?
We would love to expand our site to include customer pics and comments and plan to do so.

BTW, save your brass. Appalachian Ammunition offers a reloading service that can save you some $$$.

Thank you for taking the time to post. Great to see that you've got some ammo chrono data up now, and I look forward to seeing more. You might look at your competitors' sites to see what sorts of data (photos, charts, types of info) have been found to be useful to consumers. As far as the photos, you might look at comparison photos of the type found on this thread:

I've seen a lot of claims by manufacturers of flash-suppressed powder in their loadings, and some of them haven't held up. While I know that you're on the up-and-up, the misrepresentations of these other makers have made many consumers skeptical. Showing a series of photos of the sort in the thread linked above ("Our 140-gr JHP defensive load vs. Brand X's 140-gr JHP vs. Brand Y's 145-gr JHP") would go a long way toward alleviating that skepticism.

I recorded the velocities myself @ 8ft from the muzzle using either my own guns or those of friends. Naturally, we need more guns and can not possibly have too many.

I expect different results from different guns, barrel lengths, ect. I did not want to use the data provided by the powder manufacturers and I think that might be where people get themselves in trouble. I mean, how many people shoot using a universal receiver or a test barrel? Another consideration has been velocity vs accuracy while maintaining safe pressures. Missing your target at Mach 1 is totally useless and not all of our ammo (or our competitors) is designed nor meant to fly at supersonic speeds.

We started off with low budget website so that we would have an online presence in the market place. So far it has been a valuable communication resource. I am looking forward doing some gun shows here in New England this Fall. Developing our Marketing strategies will take time and money and we do understand that a lack of technical data is disappointing to some.

We do however, state very plainly who's components we use so that a customer can make an informed decision . In Fact, Bob Palermo at Penn Bullets has been an enormous resource for us.

Our goal is provide a good, accurate and reliable product that our customers can trust and afford to shoot. The real deal is to be honest with folks, and you can be sure that our aim is straight.

I would suggest adding a reasonably priced 38spl 158gn SWCHP +p load at 1000fps....I'll buy it!

I second the 38 sp +P LSWHP at 1000 fps and also a +P LSW in a factory load not a remanufactur.

I do not have any .357 sig at this time although I did pick up a 100 or so casings at the local law enforcement range today.

I may offer a re-man in the near future with a jacket bullet.
I've had some inquiries about 10 mm as well.

Duly noted. I'm anxious to see how well these nickel plated 158 gr hardcast wadcutter remans are going to be received at the Augusta Gun show later this month.

I have fired many of these with complete confidence.
New brass will most likely be yellow.
