Default Buffalo Bore .357 Bullet Oxidization?

I was shopping at Cabela's yesterday for 9mm and .380 ammo. While I don't have a .357 Mag I am strongly considering one in Lieu of a .44 Special.

With that in mind I checked out the .357 offerings and found the Buffalo Bore Tactical low Flash 158gr. JHP loading. It is rated at 1100 FPS and appears to use a SJHP bullet (perhaps a Nosler or Sierra SJHP). While such a loading would be desireable to me what I found disconcerting was that the lead tip fo the SJHP bullet appeared to be grayish in color. Could this be oxidization already? If it is oxidization will this effect bullet performance or is this just a purely cosmetic thing?

Cosmetic. The guy on the receiving end won't know the difference.

I always thought those whitened tips seem to look more disconcerting from the business end...

But that's just my thoughts.
