It would vary with the load, but I used a 200gr LSWC in my 625 for bullseye for years with great results.

I shoot a 200 lswc almost exclusively and the gun always does well. Eventually it will get a little lead build up but it takes awhile and cleans up fairly easy.

I have shot a lot of 200 SWC's out of my 625-8, and they are very accurate. I handload a Missouri bullet with 4.8grs 231. The gun does get dirty, but cleans easy because it's stainless. I use the RIMZ mfg'd fullmoon clips, very easy to work with.
Here is the downside, depending on what you use the gun for, the SWC's are not easy to reload fast in the fullmoon clips. If you are competing in a timed event which requires reloads, you may want to consider a round nose bullet.

BULLETS
I SHOOT 250 GRAIN SEMI WADCUTTERS IN 45 ACP BRASS AND AUTO RIM CASES, I SHOOT THEM IN A 3 INCH 625, AND A MODEL 22 THUNDER RANCH, 1950 TARGET S&W, 1917 S&W AND 1917 COLT, AND IN RUGER SINGLE ACTION BUT CAN ONLY USE ACP IN THE RUGER. I DON'T LIST THE POWDER CHARGES AS THAT IS WHAT THE MAUALS ARE FOR.

I shoot 185gr and 200gr LSWCs in my 625s (and 25, and even my Glock 21) in Bullseye all the time with no problems. Shots are on-call at 50 yards, and no leading problems with the proper load -- 4.3gr AA#2 for the 185s, 4.5gr W231 for the 200s. I find that W231 leaves behind a lot of partially burnt powder flakes that can make stuffing fresh rounds into the chambers annoying, so I keep a nylon chamber brush in my shooting kit and clean out the chambers between targets.
