Default hottest load for SD in a CS9

i am in the market for some new SD ammo for my CS9. and my attention has been drawn here... 9mm Luger +P +P+ Pistol and Handgun Bullets Pistol & Handgun Ammunition .... do yas think that will be ok for the gun. or a bit too hot? also i was looking into the winchester ranger t series i just dont know which round they make several different loads. any advice from those of you who know more would be great...thanks

The very snappy +P+ load with a lightweight bullet is not what you want for SD as it's a poor performer with much more recoil (for controllability purposes) than necessary. Choose a 147-gr. unbonded load or 124-gr. +P bonded projectile for much better results.

Both Federal's 147-gr. +P (P9HST4) or standard pressure version (P9HST2) and Winchester's Ranger T (RA9T) are two top performing SD loads for consideration.

Did you say you wanted hot stuff?

American loadings will not be as hot as those loaded to CIP standards- look to Fiocchi (even though loaded here) XTP's or some older Norma loadings. I've been told the S&B is pretty hot too when compared to domestically made ammunition.

9mm NATO is hot too, but isn't a HP. All the domestic +P loadings are in line or sometimes still below European standard loadings. The +P+ stuff is only with lighter bullets than normally loaded for the caliber.
