Default Hornady 44 MAG 240 gr XTP

In my new to me Model 29-2 4 inch, 1980 vintage, is this ammunition considered too hot? It's marked 1350 fps at the muzzle, but don't know from what size barrel. I've been reading quite a bit but have seen conflicting information on this subject. I know the recoil will be "stout" but can a revolver of this era withstand the punishment?
Thanks,
Deuce

It's standard pressure ammo. Your 29 will be fine shooting it.

Many thanks for the replies, guys. This load is at the upper limit of what I want to use. Glad to hear that the firearm is up to the task.
