Default Winchester Bicentennial 30/30 and 30/30 flares

I have just received 3 boxes of Winchester Bicentennial 30/30 ammo in mint condition from a family member. Anybody know if this stuff is worth anything? I do not own a 30/30 and would rather not have this sitting around collecting dust if I could get anything for it. I also received a couple of packages that contain three 30/30 red flares. Never saw those before! Any info would be appreciated.

That 34 year old ammunition is definitely collectible. The last ferw boxes I saw at gun shows were $25-$35 per box.

The .30-30 red flares were intended for emergency signaling use back in the '70s and '80s. Since then, some states have banned their use or possession because of the fire hazard they represent.

I've got an original sleeve of the same thing in .35 Remington. I think those flares were made in either Florida or Alabama (I can't get to them right now to read the package). Seems the package they came in reminds me of the old plastic package/baglike thing that bracin' bits used to come in.

My first post so be kind. If you read my name you can assertain I am familiar with the 30-30. I have collected ammo for 45 years so have a little knowledge of it. As stated the 30-30 commemertive ammo usually only sells for @$30. The flair cartridge are different. I see people trying to get $5 each for them and then I see unsold packages of 3 with a $10 price tag on them. The worst part of any transaction is shipping cost. It is illegal to ship ammo through post office and even a single cartridge ships for @$12 UPS. This makes alot of sale of single or small packages impractical. I know I would be willing to buy a package of 3 for $10 but with shipping that package would now be $22 min.
