Default 38 special cbc short

Does anyone have any info on this ammo? I believe it's loaded by Magtech, but I'm not sure about anyone else. Was it designed as a kind of 38 short colt for use in competition?

It's a .38 Special in diameter with a shorter case length, probably made as a light load that extracts more reliably from a swing-out revolver. Not sure if that matters for a top-break or a lever action.

Sounds like just the ticket for 2" guns w/short ejector rods !
