About two years ago, I wrote to Buffalo Bore and asked Tim if he would consider making a true outdoors load for the 38 Special. Like many of you, I have more appropriate revolvers for dangerous game, but sometimes, I just like taking my M&P or my Combat Masterpiece along for the walk.

I asked for a 158gr hard cast Keith style SWC @ 1000 fps. Instead, Buffalo Bore has given as that bullet, but at 1250 fps in a six inch barrel, and 1167 out of a four inch barrel. I can't wait to try it.

Good looking load for a non handloader.

Basically, Tim has simply substituted a hard cast bullet for the soft one he already loads into his Heavy 158 gr. +P SD ammo, as the ballistics are just about identical This will make the 38 special more viable against 4 legged animals. I am a BIG BB fan, and think Tim is one of the more progressive and aggressive ammo guys out there today. I applaud his work, his product and trust my life to BB products!
