I found bulk Silver Bear FMJ online at about $11 a box including shipping. I also bought 2 boxes of 50 JHP. I have a CZ 82 and got a couple of boxes to try it out before I bought bulk. It has worked out great so far. I am so happy with this little experiment that I picked up a P64 Radom at a gun show this weekend.

Do a search here on the forum, about a moth ago there was a big discussion on this topic.
I like good old ball, but if you set on a hollow point the Hornady Critical defense looks good.

I like S&B ball which chronos the fastest from my 9x18s. I don't use hollowpoint ammo in this light, slow round for fear of insufficient penetration.

The Makarov is right near the edge for HP vs FMJ as noted immediately above. When I carried mine I carried Hornady JHP in it. I recall Corbon loading for it. I have shot the Silver Bear recently with total functional reliability.

I actually found Fiocchi to be faster. I also liked that they use a truncated bullet.
I miss my Bulgarian Mak

Hornady and Corbon is your friend when packing a Mak.

9x18 ammo
that has been the consensus on this light and slow moving bullet-to use fmj to get max penetration.

My CZ-82 has 6 Glasers up front and the rest of the mag (and spare mag) filled with Hornady.
