Opinions on CCI Blazer 124gr -vs- CCI Blazer Brass 115gr
Hi Everyone - I am looking to buy some bulk 9mm ammo for my S&W M&P Pro 9mm i recently purchased. I have always had good luck with CCI ammo and was wondering; 1-any problems with CCI ammo in general and 2-any thoughts/problems with the aluminum case Blazer -vs- the brass case Blazer Brass. Your thoughts and experience are welcome. Thanks

I have fired many thousands of rounds of the aluminum over the past 10 years or so without any problems. I have a full case of brass CCI that I am saving, but I am not sure why.

CCI makes good ammo, both in centerfire and rimfire. I buy brass cased ammo because I reload and save the cases, but have never encountered problems with aluminum cased ammo.

This, reloading brass, if not reloading aluminum. I like brass.

I have seen a few incidents where the primer fell out of the aluminum
case but this was years ago in early lots of ammo. I have fired quite a
bit of aluminum case 380 and 9mm and experienced a few jams due
to the empty case not being ejected. I think the lighter weight of the
aluminum case can result in weak ejection in blowback actions. I have
fired a small amount of Blazer brass 380 with no problems and I
would choose brass over aluminum for serious use like self defense.

Thanks for the input. Basically just looking to put some rounds through the 9's for proficiency and practice. I use nothing but CCI in the Model 41 w/o any problems at all. Looking at bulk stuff it looks like you can spend anywhere from .18 to .30 cents per round. How much does that go down if you do your own reloads? That is, after the cost of all the equipment required for the reloads.
