I'm feeling left out
I just visited Hornady's website and saw their new thing, the Zombie Max ammo (cute, really) and noticed that its only available in semi auto pistol ammo. None for us wheelgun shooters. I feel left out, guess I will have to make due when the end comes with my cast bullets for my .357 and .38 Special.

Re: OP. Who'd a thought it? I... a mere mortal man of God... I own a zombie gun!!! Why when I first bought it, I only thought that 625-2 was lonely and needed a good home. And of course I, sympathetic soul that I am, did not think twice about providing long term extended care! Now I discover that in addition to being a paper punching instrument par-excellent, it is also ideal for eliminating the newest threat to mankind! Cool!

I looked at the Hornady .223 Rem Zombie Max ammo and decided that the regular old V-Max 55 grain ammo will do just as well and not cost me more money.
AND, I don't see any Zombie Max ammo on the Walking Dead TV show. Those poor folks seem to do all right with regular bullets. The only problem I see is keeping enough ammo on hand. The Walking Dead people don't seem to let trying to survive a zombie apocalyse from interfering with their personal problems, do they?

How interesting. I purchased several S&W wheel guns over the years, a 15-22 and a third gen auto. I now find that they have all been automatically upgraded to Zombie guns. Was this done while I slept? Do I have to throw away all my old SD ammo now? Oh, why is life so complicated. Did David ever upgrade his sling?

David didn't have to upgrade his sling. He upgraded his rocks.

I noticed that Midway was selling some of this stuff in 7.62x39 Rimmed. Is that a misprint, or does such a thing really exist?

Not a missprint, it does exist.........
East German made machine gun ammo SKS 7.62 X 39.
Not the same as 7.62X 54 and no.... do not shoot it in a
mosin-nagant.. round is shorter...

Sorry, but there is no such cartridge as the 7.62x39mm Rimmed. The standard intermediate assault weapon caliber cartridge for all ComBlock nations (including E.Germany) was the standard 7.62x39mm Soviet M43 which is rimless. Czechoslovakia did make a 7.62x45mm cartridge but later switched to the common M43 cartridge, but even this is a rimless cartridge.
