Several months ago I had a NM Ruger BH .45 and I bought some Littlestone Ammunition on GB but never shot it. It's a 240 gr JHP going 1240, according to their data. A smokin' load for sure; well-crafted, high quality, beautiful ammunition, if I can use that word.
I sold the Ruger, and now have a gorgeous nickeled 25-5. My instinct tells me I should save the hot ammo for a Blackhawk, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Is this load too much for a 25-5? I know it's an N frame, but every gun has limits. I'm leaning toward a Buffalo Bore standard pressure load of around 1000 fps behind a Gold Dot 250 gr JHP. That sounds manageable by the
gun. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
