Default Let the 357 Sig bark..357 Sig Federal contract over runs at stupid cheap prices.

I have been shooting steel plate matches for a long time and recently switched to shooting them in 357 Sig and has been incredibly accurate and controllable. I have won my last three matches with the caliber. The only draw back to the caliber was price of ammo but the heavens have opened up for the 357 Sig. This week I found at massammo.com federal contract over runs of match grade brass case frangible for $16.50 a box! I have shot and did a industry review of this product and it was outstanding stuff and it was alot more money at the time. I just purchased 3 cases of this stuff and will talk to the wife tonight to see if a few more might be in the budget. I figure it will also double as a solid fmj round at 1400fps if needed. Its refreshing to shoot matches with the same gun and caliber I carry.
I'll pass the deal along to the other 357 Sig super fans.
Here is a link to the Federal over run ammo. Its $16.50 a box of 50 or a case of 1000 for $315.00

Thank you. I love my .357 226, but don't shoot it terribly often because ammo is scarce and expensive.

Just curious as to why you believe this ammo is a federal contract overrun?

357 Sig - 357 Sig - MassAmmo.com - - $12.99 Flat Rate Shipping on every order

357 Sig Glock G32 - YouTube
I have a m&p 40 with a kkm barrel conversion to .357 Sig
I reload them so cost is not overbearing plus I can adjust the load to meet my preference . I like shooting them and have plenty of 9mm lead and powder to do both the Smith and my Sig 226 9mm

I asked. As a background, I was part of the initial testing as a independent ballistics engineer. It is designed to be used in tactical shoot houses for military contracts. Its also the only frangible designed for full auto. The round acts like a normal fmj through soft targets but as soon as it hits plate steel, it breaks up. You could easily use this round as a fmj if pressed into a combat situation and for steel plate matches or indoor range use. The beauty is there is no lead or iron content and the ammo uses brass cases and is sealed for extended mil-spec storage
