It is fine for all firearms except the HK21/HK41/HK91/G3 family of firearms. The filler in the case gums up the fluted chambers used by HK.
I put lots of it through my Rem PSS700 and it grouped better than expected

I've shot alot of it over the years in Ishapore Enfields. Never a problem that I can recall and fairly accurate from the bench.

There were some lots that gave very high breech pressures and some guns were destroyed. Frank

There were, as reported above, some mishaps with CAVIM ammo whose containers were labeled with the word "reengastada" which in Spanish means roughly "reseated". The suspicion was that these were blanks that had been torn down, and were reassembled with standard bullets. This would certainly lead to dangerous breech pressures, and probably some wrecked guns. I had about 50 rounds of it, and just pulled it down and put my own powder charges into it with the milspec bullets. Those worked fine, but I would think some caution is in order. Better safe than sorry.

Ran thru my M-1A with no problems and gave very good accuracy.
But the owners manual that came with my DPMS LR-308 listed it as one NOT to use.

Cavim ammo
I bought some CAVIM 7.62x51 Ammo dated 1983 back during Y2K and has been waiting for the Apocalypse which hasn't yet arrived.I sold a couple of rifles I wasn't especially fond of and replaced them with an Armalite AR10,thinking I could do a lot of blasting for fun.I then began to see a couple of comments regarding corrosive primers and other problems and perused the web to educate myself.I found every opinion in the book and it must be true that everyone has one.I pulled one round and found clean stick powder with no clumps as often reported. To my delight the primers are Boxer type.I may have to fire the primer on to steel and see if it is corrosive.
I realize this is S&W Forum but I know there are so many knowledgeable members here someone may be able to advise whether to shoot in AR10, or a bolt gun or dismantle and reload.
