I was going nuts trying to find some 30 Carbine everyone even bought that up to and I got lucky!!! Aimsurplus.com has it in stock for $18.75 a box of 50, got a case.
I had one and they were made since they shot better at a little longer distance than the 1911 .45 that the officers had during war time................but not mine !
Sights were terrible and as for groups at 100 yards............
well better than chucking rocks,I guess.
Tried shooting marmots/rock chucks at 300 yards one time. We ran out of ammo and the family were still looking for the "Dust critters" that were buzzing around them.
I don't even know if a scope would help out this action and round for a 200 yard shot ? Still fun to shoot, though.
CMP is selling cases of .30 Carbine, 1350 rds, LC 70-72 era.. $520 plus shipping, 40 cents per... no longer cheap I fear! This is in boxes of 50, no strippers nor bandeleers
