Default Still finding ammo

Despite the recent run on ammo, I've managed to score some nice buy's on gunbroker. Granted it's oddball calibers that are really not in demand, but I have scored almost 400 rounds of 35 Remington and 200 rounds of .38 S&W in the last month. How have your ammo hunt's been, have you had success.

Don't suppose you have any cheap 416 Rigby that you want to sell for a tiny profit ??
I have plenty but can always hoard the brass.

I back ordered some .223 my local guy had some 5.56 in stock but said I didn't want it for plinking it was way over priced 16.95. Seems locally if I am lucky enough to find someone with ammo its jacked up so high I cant afford it.

You must be hunting some of those Highland County Mastodons that
still roam southwestern Ohio if you need 416 Rigby ammo. I hear they
get pretty big down that way.

I had 100 .257 Roberts delivered and found three boxes of WWB 9mm at a local big box store.

I heard that some Texas Jackalopes had found there way to Ohio and had become a problem. I would suggest something larger than a 416 Rigby if you plan to hunt them.

Just like in 2008, this current madness will end and ammo will become available again. After 2008 I stayed well stocked and purchased ammo on an average of 2 times a month and got into reloading, so I can ride out this latest buying spree well stocked. For those of you who got caught short this time, I'm sure you won't let it happed again in the future.

That's a happy thought, but I'm betting some of the same people were caught both times. I have seen some of the same faces come bumming ammo both times. Some people learn from their mistakes, but it seems moreso that some people will prepare for foreseeable events and some will just live minute by minute. It extends into other areas of their lives as well such as food, water, and fuel. You can live a lot longer without bullets than you can without water.

Oh, and they are often the first to scream "gouging".

You know... Im new to the game, so I wasnt around in 08. But have heard all about it for sure! With money tight I cant go by cases and cases of the stuff... but it was a matter of.."hey.. I have a few extra bucks... lets hit up the shop" I did buy some CCI SV 22 about a week after the shooting... not as a panic... but becouse I had a few bucks... Luckly they had a ton of it, and for the same price. I havent been back sence.. but Ill just save up those extra bucks till things settle down, then venture out. Im hoping the prices dont jump up much... but Im sure it will... we will see how this pans out..

One thing that I did get cought without.. well Im just getting setup to reload.. Slowly buying stuff as I get extra bucks.. Well I was setting money aside for primers, but spent it on the CCi 22's.... now I wish I had gotten the primers.
