No more online sales.
No more online sales allowed in NY. I have several friends who have tried to purchase ammo online and have been told no more internet sales. It is in the 41 page NY Safety Act Law.

I researched the NY Commie Gun Control Law.
Since this is a STATE law, out of state vendors of ammo are not subject to the NYS jurisdiction UNLESS these dealers desire to engage in commerce with the State of New York. Since it would be a burdernsome process, dealers will SIMPLY OPT OUT AND AND NOT CONDUCT ANY COMMERCE IN THE SALE OF AMMUNITION.
Dealers have until January 15, 2014 to register to engage in the sale of ammunition. It will certainly be a ghost town for out of state vendors. I have heard several vendors have stopped selling to NYS already. These STUPID POLITICANS INCLUDING ANDREW CUOMO HAVE ALREADY DESTROYED INTERSTATE COMMERCE WITH RESPECT TO THE SALE OF AMMUNITION. STATES WILL NOT DEAL WITH THESE DRACONIAN RESTRICTIONS.
Here is a question to ponder: What of orders placed subsequent to January 15, 2013 i.e. backorder being filled?
Looks like the burden is on the seller of ammunition

If you are still dumb enough to be in NYS, every time you go to another state, buy ammo and bring them home!

I didnt see anything about reloading components when I scanned through the new laws. I think it might become as popular as medical marijuana.

This administration uses the Commerce Clause to ram everything down out throats including the health care law but this they say nothing about!
It is my sincere hope every online ammo dealer refuses to sell NY State any ammo for their use since they can't sell to the people.
Barrett did it to California. When the California government banned sales of their 50 Cal rifles in their state Ron Barrett refused to fill an order for several 50 Cal rifles placed by law enforcement. He told them he can't stay in business only selling to law enforcement and if he can't sell in California he won't break the law by selling to anyone on CA.
Sig also did something similar. When CA told them to add this or remove that from their handguns they told CA not to try and tell them how to design their guns. They don't sell to CA either unless the design already meets the CA requirements without modifications.
Two great companies doing the right thing, I only hope the ammo companies take their lead and refuse to sell ammo to anyone in NYS if they can't sell to the common people.

Ive read and read it, looking for something that said you cant mail order reloading supplys. I didnt see anything. Im kinda afraid to ask though!!!! Granted... there are so little amounts of primers and powders out there, its hardly worth researching it. It suks though...and more so becouse all the big shooters, and ammo buyers now need to go to the local stores... what is good for the shops, but bad for the little guy that wants a box or two, becouse it will take that much longer to get the ammo shelves full agean. I dont have the cash to buy cases of ammo. I stock up when I have a few bucks in my pocket. So far it had worked well for me, and has allowed me to have enough to shoot, and a little extra added to back stock... well if we are looking at a year with empty shelves... Its going to be tough in NY.. But im sure thats what the plan was.

I've read the new law and there is no mention of reloading supplies being banned.

You know....
How far are you from Ohio?
I was born in Buffalo and it was called "Upstate New York". On the off chance you're in that area you are only a few hours away from the free state of Ohio. Google "Fin, Feather and Fur". They are an independent with arguably the best assortment of reloading supplies you will see on the planet. I was in the Ashland store last week. They are very well stocked.

You guys do realize this thread is almost a year old already, right. I'm sure the OP found out what the new laws will be especially since it's already 7 months past what he thought was going to be the deadline date.

nothing has been settled as far as ammo goes or the rest of this poorly thought out and poorly written rush job of a law. the ny state police will not make the january 2014 deadline to come up with a system to perform backround checks for ammo so their will not be any backround checks for how long who knows. as far as how this will affect buying ammo online being that the backround check part will not be ready, no one knows. the online companies will most likely not ship to us after january 2014 even though the law will be delayed. many companies and individuals who sell firearms and ammo have turned their back on us already even though it is perfectly legal to buy what they are selling. i have seen many gunbroker ads where the individual will not even sell a 5 shot revolver to someone here. the court cases continue, but with the reluctance of the supreme court to take any may issue cases or other gun control cases i am not very optimistic.
