Default Cabelas and 9mm

Saw this morning that cabelas dot com has some Winchester WB and Remington as well as some bulk Federal 9mm FMJ ammo. Won't be there long I am sure.

WWB & Remington

Bulk Federal

179.99 for 500 rounds, bet it will. I sure in they heck wouldn't pay any wear near that. That time I bought 9mm case of federal it was 205.00 per 1,000

I know it is crazy! But you get a pretty ammo can to go along with it! I had to at least get a couple of boxes of the WWB......looks like it is already sold out. Just the Remington and bulk Federal still left.

Sad thing is I think that those are their normal prices. For what I see people paying for ammo at gunshows and some on-line retailers, Cabela's must have a warehouse load to still have any in stock.

That's still cheaper than Gander Mountain's normal prices.

A LGS (less than five minutes from the house) has 50 round boxes of 115 grain FMJ Federal for 16.99. That's $169.90 (plus tax) for 500 rounds which isn't much less than the Cabela's prices listed above. At this same LGS last summer, the price was $12.99 a box which I thought was too high since I was buying 100 round bulk packs at Walmart for $19.97. Only time will tell, but this may be the new "normal" price everywhere.

I stopped by Wallymart today and they had only 5 50 round boxes of Tula 9mm left. The price hasnt changed ($9.95 box) so I decided to buy em all. They would only sell me 3 boxes since thats their new "policy" since ammo is short. I bought 3 and went back with my dad 5 mins later to get the other 2 and they were already gone......damn.......if you see it, buy it......it wont last long. At least the price wasnt jacked......yet.

I bought 9mm 100 rd WB @ wallyworld Tuesday for $23.97 and .40 100 rd Federal today for $25.97. It may not always be on the shelf but it seems Walmart is the only one holding price to any sane level. I was also in Cabelas today and they were asking $16.99 for 9mm PMC bronze FMJ 50 rd.
