CCI .22 in stock at Cheaper Than Dirt
I just found CCI Mini Mag .22 ammo for $24.97 per 100 round box. Pricey, but...
.22 LR CCI Mini Mag Copper Plated HP 36 Grain 100 Round Box 1260 fps

I agree, the irony is the name of the web site vs. the price gouge. I put it up for those who might be badly in need. An unloaded firearm is an expensive club. I just hope it helps someone out. Most forum members are well stocked.

I think I'll pass and let all all the rest buy all they can handle.
As long as I have a case or two in the garage I'll be alright.

I bought several plastic boxes of CCI Mini Mags for $7.95 at LGS in December.
They are out now bought when they get them back they'll be the same price but you can only buy one. Same with the ammo they have now-one box but same pricing.
They also have Winn Large Pistol primers for $31 a 1,000 but you cane only buy one.

I have to laugh at these "bargains" at CTD. My LGS has same item for $14.

I see they've discovered the secret to keeping ammo in stock. Yep, they can keep their stock as far as I'm concerned.

CDT would have to pay me to take it.
And I would probably just tell them where to stick their money instead.

The price for their .22 ammo is right in line with the magazine prices they are showing.Hopefully people will have a LONG memory.

THIS IS TYPICAL OF CHEAPER THAN DIRT! They have some nerve pricing 100 rounds for what 550 rounds were going for! This is what they always do when things get scarce, they take advantage of the public. I have said this many times before and I will keep saying it until they are forced out of business. If they were the last supplier on Earth I would go without. I will never spend another penny with them no matter what!!!

You know, everyone is griping about the high price of ammo while lamenting that no one has ammo in stock. In my opinion, stores have been too slow to raise the price of ammo to prevent it from going out of stock due to hoarding. I don't like paying more for ammo, but I still want it available even if I have to pay more. This is basic economics.

So you're saying paying triple is ok as long as it's in a stock near you? Paying a little more is one thing but $0.25rd for .22lr is crazy. Add s&h you're $0.30rd.

A high price for something available vs. a low price for something unavailable. You tell me which one makes more sense.
If you don't need any, then don't buy it. But for someone who needs it, they will pay the higher price. When supply catches up with demand, then the price will be forced back down because they won't be able to sell any at the higher price.

Lord help me if the day comes that I "need" to buy .22lr at 30+ cents a round. If and when that day does come, expensive rimfire ammo will be the least of our worries. As to CTD...don't know about the dirt part, but they can go pack sand.

Agree on all points. The only way I see ammo persisting at a high price is if the government starts adding a special tax or new regulations for ammo. Lord help us if that happens.

I just bought 3 boxes of Federal 325 rounds at $14.95 ea at Walmart. They took my name and phone # last week and called me when it came in. I went in and they had them locked in a drawer with my name on them. They are going to call me when the 550 round boxes come in. Also, someone on this forum posted a link to Bulk Ammo Free Shipping | Cheap Ammunition For Sale so I checked it out and liked what I saw. On 2-1-13 I made an order that arrived this AM. I got a box of 357's and 4 boxes of 38's for $104.65. No shipping or taxes. Check it out. I think its free shipping on orders over $70.
Have a nice day!

I agree to a degree. but $0.25rd for .22lr is gouging by alot IMO....Hey man it's cool if you don't mind it. For me even if it was right next door fot that price I'd leave it anyway.

Agree, if it comes to paying over a dime a round for .22LR
then i would do without. That's just plain crazy. A quarter
per shot for .22 LR ?? that is bordering on insanity unless it's
match grade target ammo for some competition.
