Smile PPU 9mm Ammo

Hi:
The lone brand of 9mm ammo at Wal-Mart is PPU made in Serbia.
Anyone familiar with this ammo ?
Thanks,
Jimmy

IMO it's good ammo. If you can get it at a decent price, pick it up while you can.

Prvi Partizan is excellent quality ammo. Used to be imported years ago under the Hansen Cartridge Company brand.

PPU is Prvi Partizan. I have shot thousands, upon thousands, of rounds of PPU. I have never once had a single problem.

Can't say I've used Prvi Partizan 9mm specifically, but I have had good experiences with their .38 Special LRN and M193 ball. Their ammo seems to be good quality overall.

I have used PPU 5.56X45, 9MM, 40 S&W & 45ACP this same ammo is labeled Monarch at Academy. It is clean and consistant and goes bang every time. I think war and target shooting must be the national sport of the Balkans countries so they are experienced and produce a quality product.

I've reloaded their .38 Special and .45 ACP brass with good success. Their rifle ammo is great. My little Savage 340D in .222 Remington shoots Privi .50 grain PSP ammo almost as well as custom handloads. Winchester, Remington and Federal double the group size.

Anyhow, if you need 9MM in today's market BUY IT.

Well the 38 special and 357 mag I bought a few years back was downright garbage ammo. Tons of FTF, dirty as ****.

Bought some 38spl LRN last year and they are still very ******, dirty.
I have to agreed that they are downright garbage 38 spl ammo like others had complained about. They were cheap and just have to try some to for myself.
