Remington says 800fps at the muzzle, but they don't tell you the length.

Forker's Ammo & Ballistics list muzzle velocity at 790 fps (4 inch barrel). I have shot 1000s of rounds of this ammo, & it is fine as a target load. . . But, it is a bit dirty.

Good stuff for cheap practice or introducing newbies to handgun shooting. Cheap with reduced recoil.

The chart I looked at said 790, but I was a social science major and I round everything off.

Most 130gr FMJ ammo is made as a practice load for the more expensive 135gr Gold Dot +P SD loading at $1 a round.
You can go through a full box of the 800 fps target loads
which makes for a fun outting and will also improve your skills with more rounds down range.
Not too many shooters with a light J frame want to shoot more than a wheel full of 135 +P ammo .
Stock up if you shoot the GD for SD .
If the price is right, buy them any way !!

I've shot a lot of these through all sorts of guns. They always go bang and are accurate enough.
