Got an E-Mail from CND today. They have 223 ammo for only $1.33 a round when you buy a box of 300. So kind of them. I will remember their kind actions when and if prices get back to normal.

But they also include Vaseline .

I think its extra for the Vaseline.

Anyone who does not boycott them does not deserve to have guns!

No need to get all butt-hurt about it. If you think the price is too high, don't buy it. If no one buys, the price will come down.

As soon as prices get high enough, there will be ammo on the shelves again.

Remember, it is the BUYER who sets the price. Always.

Actually, I applaud CTD and anyone else who "puts it to" the greedy ammo hoarding fools. There is absolutely no political talk of banning ammo -- YET -- so there is no need for the panic hoarding. It is brought on by nothing other than greed.

Anyone who is over age 18 should know enough to have essentials on hand.

I saw this as a prime time to sell, not buy, so I did my part to help alleviate the phony shortage... at panic-buyer prices, of course.

I particularly enjoyed the "Spend your tax refund on ammo!" line in the ad myself.

Seriously though, I have no issues with them raising their prices. Its their business and I am not forced to buy it from them. As such, I don't and won't. I'll stick with the guy who's selling his ammo for the lowest price or won't buy any ammo if its more than I am willing to pay.

When the price bottoms out after this glut though, I will put up a couple thousand rounds of the stuff I enjoy shooting for the next time these shenanigans come around.

If CTD sells there supply of .223/5.56 at the normal/old price some "one" would probably buy out their entire stock in 1 minute. Than they would be short again & jack up the price next time. If I was them (CTD) I would limit the sale to just a few boxes per customer at the old prices & every one would benefit. The buyer would be happy & CTD would keep their reputation up. CTD needs to practice some damage control to their reputation during this crucial time.

I just got the latest CTD flyer in saturdays mail. they have no prices listed for their ammo, AR stuff and magazines. Guess sticker shock gets you when you call and order and they tell you the total. I chucked mine into the burn pile. Frank

They had the Ruger 10-22, factory 25 round magazines jacked up to $50.00 4 days after the Newtown shooting...maybe sooner, but thats when I saw it. I dont have a lot of respect for businesses that gouge their customers. As far as ammo. I suspect by now that most ammo retailers are probably paying a bit more for it, but not more than 5 or 10 percent. The places that were selling at jacked prices in Dec and Jan. had no excuse. That ammo had to be stuff they had on hand or that had already been ordered when the SHTF. I think think CTD is going to lose a lot of customers over how they handled this. A smarter thing to do would have been to immediately place limits on ammo and magazines. Most places didnt enact limits on ammo in my area until Late January/early Feb., and by then it didnt matter cuz you were lucky if they even had 3 boxes. Just think if there had been limits from the beginning of this mess. I saw guys taking ammo out the the Place I bought my 15-22 on Dec 18, by the hand cart load. Thats 4 or 5 cases they were hauling out, and some made multiple trips

Their prices aren't currently "Cheaper than Dirt", but they do have ammo in stock.

Back in the last ammo shortage in 08-09, CTD was selling CCI Aluminum .380s for over $50,, Never baught from them, Never will ; )

When the "Crazys" run out of money or fill their shelves the
prices on components will come down when the "Normal" people refuse to pay those high prices.

I refuse to pay those high prices and would rather take a year off and go fishing ......................right after all my "Fun"
trap ammo, rifle ammo and pistol ammo is gone. There will
always be some "Serious ammo" left for the house,just in case,though.
