Kynoch 380 \ 38 S&W
Hello everyone, I'm looking for information about this box of ammunition found with a S&W Victory. Some bullets are ".380 2z K", while others are "G.F.L. 38 S&W".
It comes to military munitions? of which period?

They are what they are, what did you want to know?
The Kynoch are British military cartridges for the Webley, Enfield, and Smith & Wesson revolvers chambered for the .380 Mk 2, which is their loading of .38 S&W. The GFL is .38 S&W manufactured by Fiocchi.

The Kynoch is standard ball ammo for the 380 Enfield revolver, the GFI is commercial Fiocchi 38 S&W ammo.

Can these cartridges be fired in older single action models?
For example in the Baby Russian or in the 2nd Model ? Or the pressures are too high and it is better to find ammunition loaded with black powder? I state that I'm asking more out of curiosity than for real intent to shoot.

Probably not a good idea. The two Kynoch rounds you show appear to be one with the original 200 grain bullet and the other with the later 176 grain copper clad bullet. The GFI rounds would probably be the 176 grain . They were designed for 625-650 fps but in either an S&W Victory or a Webley or Enfield top break which were built to much higher "containment properties" than a 1900 or earlier SA revolver. The Colt Police round also in 38 S&W was the origin of the UK 200 grain round. Dave_n
