It looks familiar to around the mid to late 50's...I'd rather talk to you about that sweet lookin Savage 99 ,you have there.. Is that a Lyman scope it's wearing...??

It didn't do too bad considering the 20+mph winds we were having today.

The scope is a Bausch and Lomb BalVar.

Post 1962. It has the gub'mint mandatory child safety warning. I remember seeing similar Sears boxes in the early - mid '70's IIRC.

It's post 1962. That's when the child safety warning was mandated by the government.

I believe Sears used this box style from @ 1965 into the early 70's. I collect their 22 boxes myself but have seen quite a few of these centerfire boxes over the years. Federal was Sears primary ammo supplier for a long time.
