Looking for 30-30 Ammo
I have come to the conclusion that due to the current enviroment we as responsible gun owners live in things beyond our control are going to happen; most handgun, it seems as all 22lr and certain calibers of rifle ammo are being horded at this time. BUT could someone please tell me why 30-30 ammo has disappeared, at least in the Tampa Bay area. Four stores today, three Wally Worlds and a Dicks the forth one a W/W had two boxes on the shelf(yes I bought them). Why Why Why?

Or 45-70. Unless DHS is planning a safari, there's some serious reallocation goin' on.
I showed 'em. I bought a set of dies, bullets and powder. I already have the rest.

I was at WalMart tonight. The ONLY ammo available was .30-30, .22-250, and .300 Magnum. Go figure.

Wait until this fall when hunting season comes around. All the big box
stores will have plenty of the popular rifle calibers in stock. Unlike 22s
and handgun ammo high power rifle and shotgun slug ammo is a
seasonal product.

Re: Looking for 30-30 Ammo
Try Cabelas online. I just got .308 from them while there is none to be had locally. Everything's more expensive, but for the times we're in, Cabelas is fair priced.

I hit all 5 Wally Worlds and the 3 Academy stores as well as 2 Dicks and one Sports Authority and all have had a shelf full of 30-30 ammo in 150 and 170 grains.Certainly is ot shortage of 30-30 here in Alabama. Guess its cause everyone thinks they have to have a 7mm Mag anymore.

WalMart has it here in Northern Ca. Also they've had 30-06, 7mag,
300 mag along with several other game cal.
Was in the store today and there was quite a few box's sitting there.
Just keep trying.
I'm still batting zero on the 22 cal myself. It'll happen one day.

There are probably more 30/30 rifles than all other center fire rifles combined in this country. Just as there are probably more 22lr firearms than all other rifles combined. More ammo will come just as it did after the 2008 election. If Hillary is elected in 2016 we will go through all of this again.

And what do you want to bet that there will be the same number of unprepared types standing in line for ammo, whining about the cost and availability?

There will actually be more people standing in line whining about cost and availability because of all the new gun owners that have entered the sport in the past few months. They will be the same ones that vote for Hilliary.

Hey all you complaining about no ammo - learn to reload and stock up on components, then the next time this happens, and it will happen again, you can laugh at everyone. Did you not see this coming in Nov, 2012, to be specific, on the Wednesday morning after the second Tuesday in November? Wise up people, and quit complaining about your stupidity! If you are looking for ammo, well, that says a lot about your mental capacity.

You all know where to find ' SYMPATHY ' in the dictionary. I sure hope you young'uns stock up when supplies are available again.
I bought mine on Wednesday after Clinton won. I just used my last box of Clinton small rifle primers. Still got 4k of post-Clinton SR primers left. Haven't had to touch any Obama stock yet. In five or six years I may have to attend a gunshow for supplies or have a 'post-boating accident' sale.
