Default Freedom Munitions?

Does anyone know they are still selling to the public? In the past I had heard good things about them in this forum so I ordered 500 rnds of .223 last fall. I have been trying to order more(not just .223) and EVERYTHING(every caliber, all quantity, etc) is marked "out of stock". On their home page is:

"Freedom Munitions is a true ammo manufacturer. As such we populate our site with 500,000 Rounds of product per week. Due to current demand we are limiting purchases to 500 ct. per order. Please check back daily for “in stock” products."

I've been checking back daily(at different times of the day) for the past 2 months and NOTHING changes. I know things are rough and ammo is hard to find, but to keep their site up, giving the impression that they "are open to the public" when in fact it is obvious that they are not. I say that because I see on sites like GB that there is FM ammo for sale everyday! Somethings not kosher
Rant ended

Since they opened up a retail store they have not updated their web site. I just sent them an email yesterday asking if they have any intention of continuing to be an online ammo seller.

I haven't heard back from them yet.

I basically did the same yesterday as well. Given it's a holiday weekend, I wouldn't expect any type of an answer until Monday at the earliest. I hope I hear something but my guess is that they have no intention of doing any online business any more since they no doubt are getting more for their product through their store than online. I basically told them that if they weren't going to populate their site, then to please take it down.

I bought 250 new 380 bullets last Sept for $55. I see they are now $83 and of course they don't have any.

I'm glad they're staying in the game.

I actually check their site every day. In the past two weeks I have seen 5.56 55gr. for .61, and .223 for about the same. They only had it in lots of 500. I will not buy it from them for that price since we still see places like Wal-Mart and Dicks selling it for a lot less when they have it in stock. I had bought several thousand rounds from Freedom with another guy from work over the past year, but don't want to deal with them until they lower their prices. Yes, they can raise the price due to material cost, but to double the price just rubs me the wrong way.

And that's the problem. They're only available for a few minutes at a time and when they are the quantities are limited(understandable given paranoia) along with the types available. Some days you might see .223, then again maybe a couple days later(while most of us are at work) you'll see .22 or 9mm or .40S&W. But never at the same time and never long enough to even see it listed.

If you will use
gunbot.net
you can keep up with Freedom Munitions. I have received in the last 10 days 1000 9MM 500 .38 special & have 500.380 coming early next week. They are only shipping 500 rnd. lots but comes out very reasonable.
The best I can tell they are listing about 2PM eastern time. Hope this helps.
They also have a buy back program on cases, so you get an even better price on your order.

Mike

They have caught up, Last gun Show in MD the parking lot half empty. Like in 2009 it tapers gradually into fall. I compete and needed ammo for the summer. Basically picked Freedom Munitions by Price. I can reload, but no time or space. I need 1k rounds min month. I went with 9mm reman 115g search Firearm Overload for the review vid.

Once the manufacturer is known do a background on the ammo and company. Howell Machining, Ammoload, Xtreme Bullets, Freedom Munitions.
Beware of reviews that are bad but from ex employees or ex business partners
Check on the customer service, If an issue comes along is it rectified
Check on ammo recalls

Proof is in the pudding. First part of test was a statistical check of OAL Over all length. I pulled 100 random out of 500. All passed spec. I pulled 1% and did a complete spec check. Then to the range over two days. with vid for proof. 100% bang no issues. I cannot afford a problem when shooting a match. Pricing has risen for many factors. Overtime costs more, fuel, Taxes, Health care. Primers and powder were in short supply.
