Fiocchi and Aguila
I see Fiocchi and Aguila ammo often, but have never used either of them. I'd appreciate hearing your experience with these, specifically in 9mm.

I've shot a lot of Aguila 9mm. Never had a problem with it.

Love the Aguila in 124 gr 9mm. Seems pretty accurate and no problems with it.

I've shot Fiocchi 180 gr. FMJ in .40S&W occasionally, no problems.

I've shot a lot of their shotshells, which are top notch.
Pistol, I've shot and reloaded .32ACP, .32 S&W Long, .38 Special and .45 Colt- all great.
Oh, and .357 magnum. I've still got a few boxes of it- it is HOT, but shoots great out of my carbines.

Fiocchi is excellent quality ammo. They used to make a good bit of the S&W brand ammo line. If the old blue & white box S&W ammo says Made in Italy , it's Fiocchi. They make quite a few hard to find calibers too.
Don't know if it's still so , but Aquila used to be a Remington subsidiary. I use a good bit of their powderless .22 Colibri for indoor shooting.

Fiocchi has a plant here in the Ozarks. I think they produce shotgun shells here.

Thanks guys. I've passed on buying those because, although I've heard of and seen them before, I couldn't recall hearing anything about them. I won't hesitate to pick some up next time I see it.

Fiocchi makes some of the most accurate 22RF match ammo available (300SM) I've shot sub 1/4" groups at 100 yds. with it. They also make great shotgun ammo. Aguila we have been using at our pistol club for over 5 years now and have gone through many cases with no problems. A reasonably priced good target ammo (the 40 gr standard vel)

I've used both brands. Fiocchi 9mm Par ammo was excellent - left very little fouling in my P7's gas system. The Aquila wasn't as clean and was on a par with US commerical brands.
When reloaded Aquila 45 ACP brass had the same case life as Remington.

I use their steel shoot in my O/Us for duck hunting. The back side of the box says it is Loaded in Ozark, MO. I believe this is from Italian made components. The label also says they've been manufacturing ammunition in Ozark, Missouri since 1986. Never tried their 9mm, but I would not think twice about it.

Used both brands, but quite a bit more of the Aguila then the Fiocchi. Both worked perfect out of my G19, G26, and Sig P228. Good stuff, and it would just be nice to see 9mm on the shelves for more than a few minutes around here.

Very true! The hardcore smallbore target shooters at my club and LGS swear by the higher grades of Fiocchi target ammo for 100 & 200yd matches. It was probably $65-75 a 500rd brick years before the current craziness , but still cheaper than Eley or RWS and just as good, if not better.
I was selling their pistol ammo back in my shop around '90-'91 when they really started to come back to US sales. Made in Italy , they had a 124 FMJ-TC that was a copy of the original 9mm Luger bullet. It was also extremely accurate in my Sig P210 and Benelli B-76. On par with any S&W M-52 or Colt Gold Cup .38.

Not that I had much choice, but I bought half-a-case of Fiocchi 9mm today when it showed up on Midway. But it was one of my preferred brands even before the madness. Nothing against Aquila, either. It's good quality ammo, better than Remington, IMHO.

Aguila is excellent in every respect. In 38 Super it is loaded to good velocities - over 1200 fps - and I've been pleased with the consistency. Better than any other hardball I've tried.

Never shot their metallic ammo but the 12Ga loadings is great stuff at a good price...............hard to find here in the desert states.
High quality ammo from all that I have talked to that can find the 9mm ammo. One of todays better buys.

I bought 1,000 rds of Aguila 9mm 115 gr FMJ shortly before all the
panic buying started so by chance I got lucky on timing. It is good
clean consistant ammo but like most of the bargain priced 9 mm FMJ
it is a bit underloaded. Depending on your gun you may or may not
like it. I have several 9 mm autos and it works fine in some but it
is too weak to cycle the action on a couple, my Belgian made Browning
HP for one.

Both are fine. Shoot well for me. I like Fiocchi a little better since its easier for me to get than any other brand.

I have used Fiocchi Extrema ammo in 9 mm with no issues. It's slower than advertised (the 124 jhp makes about /1070 fps ) with the Hornady bullet, and it's made in Kentucky, as I recall.

I have shot a fair amount of Fiocchi, mostly in oddball calibers, and some Aguila. Never had any problem with either.
