Default Generic ammo? Win/Fed

What's up with the generic looking ammo. Looks like Ranger Bonded and Hydra-Shock.
Relatively speaking, not even a good price.

Winchester 40 S&W 180gr Jacketed Hollow Point - 50 Rounds - High Country Ammunition

40 S&W Federal Hydra-Shok 165gr Jacketed Hollow Point - 50 Rounds - High Country Ammunition

It's not "generic" (economy brand) ammo. It's either contract over-runs or end-user rejected ammo that didn't meet the end-users' specifications. I didn't see the Federal's product# but no doubt that it will start with an "XM" product code.

Hydra-Shoks and the Rangerbonded HP that these appear to be typically run $20-25 per box of 50 around here regardless of the caliber/cartridge they're loaded in(some less common cartridges are even more expensive).

I wouldn't consider $40 for a box of 50 of either of these to be an objectionable price.
